To, too and two


In speech there is no difference in the pronunciation of these three words, but when written, the meaning of a phrase or sentence can be completely different! Consider:

I have to — I must I have too — Me also I have two — I possess less than three and more than one

Too also means excessive:

I have too much sugar in my tea! — The amount of sugar is more than is needed.
